Tetrahydropyran is the amoebic admixture consisting of a saturated six-membered ring absolute 5 carbon atoms and one oxygen atom. The admixture is a colourless airy liquid, but is obscure. Derivatives of tetrahydropyran are, however, added common. Tetrahydropyranyl (THP-) ethers acquired from the acknowledgment of alcohols and dihydropyran are accepted intermediates in amoebic synthesis. Furthermore, a tetrahydropyran ring system, i.e., 5 carbon atoms and an oxygen, is the amount of pyranose sugars, such as glucose.
